Hello, everyone, and welcome to my photoblog! I may occasionally write paragraphs to go with the pictures, but mostly I'll just be doing the pictures themselves.
All of them may be clicked on to enlarge for a better view (some of them will be very large, though, so be careful!).

The Rainy Season Has Begun
I've been told to expect this on a daily basis from now through December or so.

Paradero Monte de la Cruz
On Earth Day we went to a park high up on the mountain north of town, to see a little nature -- and the view:

I'm not sure what the altitude was, but it was high enough to get us up above the tropical climate and into a conifer forest.

The view looking across the Central Valley toward San Jose

Still the view

A large old tree with several different epiphytes (plants that grow on other plants)

Okay, we were at a fairly high elevation, but I really don't think there would ever be much of a chance of snow... despite the presence of this (and at least one other) A-frame building.
